A little over two years old we were contacted by the Discovery Channel about filming a episode on there show How It’s Made telling the story of pecans. We filmed the episode in September of 2018, put words to in February of 2018, and it debuted last week on the Science Channel on a Thursday evening about 9:35pm. It was a awesome experience here for us a Sorrells Farms. The filming crew came out of Canada and filmed an entire day in our orchards, plants, retail location, roasting and packaging rooms. They were awesome and patient with us as we went through the process. The same week it debuted we were filmed by CBS 11 in a informative article are the weather effects on pecans given by our president and owner Kinley Sorrells.
